laughter is an instant vacation

In my life i have always wondered what I would end up doing. So many options to choose from, it took so long to narrow it down to a select few. My first words were “mommy when I grow up i want to be a vet”. That’s what I was told as soon as I could understand, but weeks later my mind changed. I had decided upon becoming a race car driver, no exceptions. I realized one random day that that was a slim chance and thought after that I should stay away from investing all my time into that career. When I turned 17 I got my liscence, with it in hand i set out to find a Volkswagon Bus. Sure enough there it was a 1973 VW bus, I named it Gus and drove it for a year. Somewhere in that time I was told that stats show that 85% of bus owners become Lawyers. So there i was giving that a thought. Should I??? nope. too much time and money spent for school, sure I will make it back plus a lot more but good luck paying back those loans. So here I am now just switched my major from Zoology to a degree in Natural Resource Management.I was aiming for the major originally but what was I going to do after for work? Go ahead put yourself in that position and ask that question…….exactly nothing. So I pondered once again. and I put into consideration a few key factors. I don’t want to be in an office, I don’t want to be at a desk, And I don’t to wana work with food. Then it came to me like a bolt of lightning. A Park Ranger, it’s perfect in every way!!! Out in the brush durring work, doing hard rough work, 25 an hour, Benefits out the ass hole, and I’m armed haha.

Throught High School I have managed to keep one best friend the crazy part about it is now we are more that best friends. I couldnt ask for more she helps me in so many ways I cant even say them all. I have a very crazy personality and always thought that I would never find anybody that could stand me for more than a day but I sure did and I love it. I would say that I’m definately not as crazy as I was but Its nice to not be all the time. We are completly diffrent people all in all I’m spontanious she’s orderly, she does everything just in case, I wing it and see what happens. I love driving fast she loves saving gas. She is organized and timely and i have no sense of either. Now that we see all of these things in detail it blows our minds. I am now begining though to see that life and everything in it is so much easier and stress free  if I do things how she does. I love having somone that I know cares about me with everything that they have and lets me know it every day. She is always there weather I’m upset, scared, or just need her help for somthing, anything. The best thing she has done to me I would say is she taught me how to talk to people when I need to. I also tell more people how i feel and say thank you if they help me or just do somthing nice. She is just the most beautiful person inside and out that I’ve come acrost in my life. Everybody has flaws but in my eyes she has few to none. When I’m with her I just cant get enough and when I’m not my mind is constantly preoccupied with her beauty. Not superficial but true and real. Every day I wake up to her voice and i love it. The sleep still lingering but slowly drifting away it makes me smile and i find it so adorable. All day we are with eachother the at night I fall asleap to the sound of her voice. Although there is nothing that calms me or takes the weight off my shoulders that laying with her, her voice still calms me. I have never felt like this in my lifetime and its crazy. So much emotion running through me and i now know that love makes you do some crazy things. She Asks me why her out of all the people and there is only one answer with a million added on. Its because I love her. I love her smile, her hair, her laugh, her body,  everything that goes on in her head, her love for me, and above all her as a person who has been there not just for the last few months but for four years since the begining of our friendship. I can truely say that I hope I can be there for her like she has been there for me. Nobody wants anything more than that. The love of my life.

There is a conspiracy occuring in most areas of the world today. Manly throught the United States. People for the most part have been eating GM (genetically modified) foods. Foods modified by means of genetics to grow better, faster, stronger, and year round. Most have herbacide or insect resistnt genes placed in them. On the other side of the world they bring a whole diffrent story. Developing third world countries added more iron and vitamins into several crops. In japan is rice so with all of the population it’s easy to provide adequate nutrition. Go to the european countries and the so called GM foods are banned. Totaly hated by all of the public or consumers. Some GM manufacturers tried in 2006 to sell their products in stores and there was an outburst of riots and a huge show of public disliking. So there there was basicly a boycott that was extremely sucuessful. The reason that all of this came about is the people knew what they were buying and eating here in the US people remain unknowing and nieve. That is why it seems so possible for the industry to get out of control and take over all other food manufacturers. Added to that the labels don’t require to identify which individual products are modified. We just keep eating like we always have weather we know what is in it of not. The latest public tests date back to 2006. That year 252 million acres of transgenic crops were planted in 22 different countries. They all decided to participate in this new breakthrough of science. All around the world soybeans, corn, cotton, canola, and alfalfa are the main crops tested and cultivated. As of 2006 52% or just over half are modified here in the US. MAny citizens object to the idea due to safety and how off it sounds. In my opinion based on the facts that I read there are several benefits surrounding it. The crops would be modified to gain many advances to what they are today. All year food supply wouldnt run low all over the world. THe diffrent natural effects and insects wouldnt harm or effect them as much or at all. The biggest advancement is the maturation time would be nearly cut in half. All of the Science and technology needed to create them and grow them proprely would cause a major boost in the economy. Tons of new machines would need to be produced and the aggriculture industry would flourish due to demand rising. All nations Around the world will soon be healthy no more poverished hungry civilizations.

       In the future I highly doubt that the rapidly growing population is going to be able to stop the production and selling.All supply and grocery stores will be overstocked and not many will be hungry. The foods will be labeld and we will all eat them as regulation. Being forced to eat them weather we like it or not. Not only will inflation and concumer spending even out but all of the big coorperations and manufacturers will be buying alot more machenery. All of this means more capitol money to the people and less unemployment. I would say that If all of this happens we will be living in much less of a savage reservation. Alot of not only the nations but global problems will be solved. It would just make more of an equilibrium society. It would all be for the beter to me nothing bad about it.

ON my portfolio I love what I’ve done and Im proud to show people all of my work. I’ve even helped a few get an edublog of their own. It is me online showing my favorite places,things, and talk about what i do in my spare time. I’ve added pictures, blogs, clippings, and even a slide show/power point. Every blog came strait out of my head, all of the poems I made, and all of the pictures mean somthing to me. I love all of my additions and hope to continue bogging while I attend the JC and even after. It is sort of relaxing and relieving getting some of the ideas in my head out and typing them so I have them to look at and reflect on. Its nice seeing everything I’ve done in this class all put together.

the one thing that I feel I didn’t quite accomplish is writing about what’s going on in the world and what’s in the news. I only write about stuff thats in my head already not anything that i have to think about and create. Never about anything that I read or hear about. I would have been better off that way not only by learning more about the world but also by having more of a variety on my profile. Not that there isn’t any variety but its all somewhat related. In love this project and I’m glad I was introduced to it. In the begining I was somewhat forced by grades but now I enjoy blogging.

A good retirement with a lot of vacation.

This place is my work or second home. I am there for more than 23 hours a week and i love it. There is not alot of tasks  under my job description but i manage to keep buisy for all of my scheduled hours. I can only push carts, put stuff back on the shelfs, or bag groceries. As im bagging groceries i can take calls and do immeadate wet spill clean ups. The main reason that i love working there is that i see and meet alot of people. i am an easy to approach person and i get to talk all day. The coustomers or general public crack me up with what they do. there is a new story every day it seems. When I don’t laugh with the coustomers my co workers make me laugh just as much. Late nights playing hide n seek around the store and cart pushing durring the day. I have made all sorts of games and things to distract me from the clock. Working has made me learn that the more you look at the clock the slower your hours go by. When there are two people out pushing carts you can race and have all sorts of competitions. Weather it be how many you can rack up or how fast you can get them all in. When in the store there is alot more to worry or think about. Not only do you have to complete your task for the hour, but your constantly listening for calls. The tasks that need to be done hourly include sweeping the store (every half hour for produce), doing go backs, cleaning the bathrooms, bagging groceries, and pulling cardboard off of the shelves. The checkers up at the front of the store are doing their job too. The coustomers always have stuff they dont want and stuff that they need. That is what Im there for. The checker calls a U.C. and we run up to the call. All I do is clean the store and make it look good for the customers. All grocery stores want is money and steady buisness which is easy because people need to eat. But when the store looks bad the customers don’t come back and neither does the money. Let me just say as long as I’m there we will get good buisness. You can count on that.
